Cyprus Hospitality Awards, the new award of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism recognizes and rewards people who exceeded the call of duty, demonstrating excellent hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences for visitors. At the same time, it rewards businesses that have positive comments, as they are analyzed through the Online Reputation Management system (ORM) of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism.

The ORM system, by collecting the visitors’ comments from various digital platforms, provides the Deputy Ministry with important data about visitors’ satisfaction with regard to their tourist experience, including their accommodation in hotels and other tourist enterprises, their entertainment in leisure centers, beaches, archaeological sites, activities etc. The system is a tool for upgrading the quality of services and infrastructures as well.

Cyprus Hospitality Awards involve two main categories. The first category named Philoxenist includes 12 subcategories at individual / group level. These awards are for the people who exceeded their call of duty, demonstrating excellent hospitality and creating unforgettable experiences for guests. Nominations are submitted at https://thephiloxenist.cy/ and evaluated by a Jury.

The second category, entitled Guest Experience, includes 14 subcategories at corporate level including awards linked to Product Labels launched by the Cyprus Deputy Ministry. The winner per category is automatically selected through the ORM system of the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism.
